Nejat İşler: A Distinguished Turkish Actor

Early Life and Education

Nejat İşler was born on February 29, 1972, in Istanbul, Turkey. Coming from a working-class background, his father was a laborer, and his grandfather was a master craftsman in Feshane. After completing his primary education, he attended Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School. Following high school, he worked in various jobs before discovering his passion for acting.

Motivated by his growing interest in theater, İşler applied to the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory, where he pursued formal training in acting. He graduated in 1995 and soon began his career in theater, television, and cinema. His first movie role was in "Eylül Fırtınası", and he quickly established himself as a versatile actor with a unique style.

Health Issues

In September 2013, İşler withdrew from the series "İntikam", in which he starred alongside Beren Saat, due to his struggle with psoriasis. During this challenging period, he moved to his house in Gümüşlük, Bodrum, sparking rumors that he refused medical treatment. Addressing the speculation, he shared a heartfelt post on his Facebook page, emphasizing his philosophical outlook on life, materialism, and personal challenges.

On January 17, 2014, Nejat İşler was hospitalized and placed in intensive care. He was later transferred to Acıbadem Maslak Hospital in Istanbul on January 22, where his condition gradually improved. In April 2014, he was discharged from the American Hospital run by the Vehbi Koç Foundation.
