Özgür Çevik: A Versatile Turkish Actor and Musician

Born on May 27, 1981 in Ankara Turkey Özgür Çevik became a resident of the world. The soldier Zeki together with police officer Nihal acted as his parents. He has a sister named Özge. The career path of his police officer mother and soldier father demanded multiple residential changes for him during his early years. His five-year time in Istanbul was followed by primary school in Amasya and middle school in Lüleburgaz. His education during high school took place between Bingöl and İzmit until his move to Istanbul for university.

The student enrolled at the Faculty of Literature at Istanbul University to study philosophy. In 2004 a major life-changing event happened when he entered the talent competition Akademi Türkiye. He landed the number one role in Yabancı Damat for Kanal D which brought him massive success both in Turkey and Greece alongside Nehir Erdoğan. Erdal Özyağcılar and Sumru Yavrucuk helped him grasp industry experience while he worked with experienced actors that solidified his position in the entertainment world.

The conclusion of Yabancı Damat in 2007 markedCantidad’s university graduation. During that year he joined the musical theatre production Romantika under the direction of Şakir Gürzumar.

From his initial guitar playing in high school開始 musics started to consume him until now. His first rock album Dude appeared on the market during May 2008.
