Şükran Ovalı was born on April 1, 1985, in the Konak district of İzmir, Turkey. As an only child, she grew up in a hardworking family—her mother was a machine technician, while her father worked in an insurance company. Since both parents were employed, Ovalı spent most of her childhood in Eşrefpaşa, under the care of her grandfather.

She began her education at İzmir Mustafa Urcan Primary School and later graduated from Fevzi Çakmak Middle School. For high school, she attended Selma Yiğit Alp High School in Göztepe before moving to Istanbul to pursue her dream of acting.
